Meet Our Teachers
All of our teachers at Ishvari Yoga are 200 hour accredited through various yoga schools. Our teachers offer varied classes in both classic/hatha yoga as well as many styles of flow yoga. All of our teachers are friendly and welcoming and all classes offer adaptations and progressions to suit all levels of students.

Sammy - Yoga Teacher
Sammy qualified as a yoga teacher in 2018 through the YMCA 200 hour accredited training program here is Sammy’s story…..
Working as a holistic and remedial massage therapist for many years, I often found when treating clients with muscular skeletal injuries or postural complaints that I was using yoga asanas as a solution to improve posture, repair injuries and release tight or painful muscles.
I have been involved in fitness all of my life; firstly as a Ballet dancer and later in weight training but found the impact of this discipline was beginning to cause reoccurring injuries so I began to look for something new.
I have been attending yoga classes for many years and always enjoyed the serenity of this discipline, it was only when speaking with one of my massage clients about how yoga and mindfulness had impacted her life in such a positive way that I became hooked on the idea of becoming a yoga teacher.
After becoming an accredited yoga teacher I began teaching classes in local village halls. Having found The Studios at Ashfields Polo and Carriage Club and then Redricks Lake, we now have a beautiful and serene environment as the perfect backdrop for our classes.
Laura - Yoga Teacher
Laura is a 200hr accredited teacher with CamYoga. Laura has been a dedicated yoga student for over 10 years, practicing both Ashtanga and Jivamukti. Yoga is a very important aspect of Laura’s life – it is freedom and release, allowing space for self discovery.
Laura’s classes are dynamic, fun and challenging, taking inspiration from both Ashtanga and Jivamukti, set to an upbeat soundtrack.
Jodie - Yoga Teacher
Jodie trained as a dancer and has spent 6 years teaching dance in China, Australia, USA and Japan. Through the stressful and sometimes painful life as a dancer, Jodie found yoga to be the most beneficial compliment, both mentally and physically, to dance.
Her initial relationship with yoga has deepened throughout her practice. Jodie believes whole heartedly in yoga’s transformative nature, and respects the power that yoga possesses to keep one grounded, focused, accountable, and aware of even the smallest moments on and off the mat.
She has been practicing seriously for several years and became a 200 hour RYT through Himalaya Valley, Goa in 2019.
Lucinda - Yoga Teacher
Lucinda started her Yoga journey over 10 years ago as a natural progression following many years of dance training in her youth. However, in her early 20s, Lucinda’s other passion took over and she pursued a successful career within the fashion industry. Throughout her fashion career though, yoga and dance remained her escape, a world where she could just “be”, away from the stresses of corporate life.
Eventually, Lucinda made the decision to give up her fashion career and train to become a Yoga Teacher. She completed her teacher training with Yoga London in 2017 and went straight into teaching full time. Lucinda is now an accredited Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, having taught over 1000 hours of classes. She specialises in Vinyasa Flow, modified Ashtanga, Hatha & Yin Yoga, having qualified with Yoga Alliance Professionals for teaching Yin in 2019. Lucinda is now also studying for her diploma in meditation and Yoga Nidra or Yogic Sleep as it is sometimes called.
Lucinda’s classes aim to help you to develop an understanding of what Yoga is for your own body, to allow you to clear your mind and be fully immersed in your own practise, which will progress further every time you come to your mat. Classes are suitable for all levels and she believes in making Yoga accessible for every BODY, whether you are completely new to Yoga or an experienced Yogi who can probably teach her a thing or two!

Louise - Yoga Teacher
Louise completed a 250 hour YTT with Stretch London after practising yoga on and off for around 10 years. She took her first ever yoga class on a trip to Varanasi, India, and as a former gymnast became hooked on the physical practice, which continued to develop further as she experienced the mindful benefits of this discipline, on and off the mat. She finally took the plunge to do her training when she realised how much of a central part of her life her yoga practice had become.
Louise is a believer that movement is medicine, which is at the centre of all of her teaching. Our modern days lives restrict our bodies and our minds, and she truly believes that everyone can benefit from this practice, no matter your ability. Her mission is to make people aware of how and why, so that we can all live and move in a more mindful way.
Her classes are accessible, with challenging options if you choose to take them! She typically teaches Vinyasa flow style yoga with an anatomical focus, always leaving you feeling suitably stretched and relaxed at the end of a class.
Sian - Yoga Teacher
Sian has been teaching for over three years now, after completing her first training at a Buddhist temple in London she then went on to complete her 200hr Yoga Alliance Accredited Vinyasa teacher training before moving onto to other areas such as functional anatomy, TRX and suspension yoga training, dynamic yoga, yin, meditation and mindfulness with various world class teachers.
After being diagnosed with a long term pain condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia, yoga helped Sian take back control over her own health, happiness and wellness. Medication helped to a degree but she didn’t want to spend the rest of her life taking tablets, it seemed like a short term fix for a long term problem. Sian made the decision to try and manage the TN herself and explore other options. She finally found yoga and as the cliché goes, it really did change her life. Physically, mentally, emotionally and energetically. As a result Sian is making it her mission to share with you the magical benefits of the practises and what ever else she has learnt along the way.
Rafaella - Yoga Teacher
Rafaella is a Peruvian yoga teacher who loves sharing her version of the practice. Yoga took over her life over 6 years ago where she found peace after a broken heart. Rafi completed her 200hrs teacher training with Fringe Yoga in 2018, followed by pregnancy yoga training & Rebozo massage.
Rafi loves holding spaces for women, running regular women’s gatherings and incorporates this aspect of her teachings in her classes.
Rafi’s classes are planned from the heart, she is constantly trying new things develop and grow her yoga and spiritual studies. Yoga is freedom, it is what connects us deeper to all that is. It is here where we grow, explore & discover new things”
