Sammy Founder and Yoga Teacher
Sammy qualified as a yoga teacher in 2018 through the YMCA 200 hour accredited training program here is Sammy’s story…..
Working as a holistic and remedial massage therapist for many years, I often found when treating clients with muscular skeletal injuries or postural complaints that I was using yoga asanas as a solution to improve posture, repair injuries and release tight or painful muscles.
I have been involved in fitness all of my life; firstly as a Ballet dancer and later in weight training but found the impact of this discipline was beginning to cause reoccurring injuries so I began to look for something new.
I have been attending yoga classes for many years and always enjoyed the serenity of this discipline, it was only when speaking with one of my massage clients about how yoga and mindfulness had impacted her life in such a positive way that I became hooked on the idea of becoming a yoga teacher.
After becoming an accredited yoga teacher I began teaching classes in local village halls. Having found The Studio at Ashfields Polo and Carriage Club we now have a beautiful and serene environment as the perfect backdrop for our classes.
Alison Yoga and Meditation Teacher
Alison qualified as an Apanaveda Yoga teacher with the Apanaveda school of yoga.
Alison brings a mindful approach to yoga, pairing gentle yoga movements with breathwork to allow awareness of the body and serenity of the mind. Alison’s classes are suitable for complete beginners of all ages and abilities, or for students looking for a breath focused discipline to their practice.
Alison also offers a weekly meditation class allowing students a space to practice mindfulness, focus of the mind and to train attention and awareness, achieving a mentally clear and emotionally calm state.
Alison teaches with a zest for life, a passion for yoga and a belief in mindful movement with breath awareness, helping bring peace to mind and body. Teaching with integrity and care.
Ashleigh Yoga Teacher
Ashleigh fell head over heels in love with Yoga in Los Angeles. Ashleigh had to go through lots of injuries throughout her dance career but she could never get rid of her lower back pain! Here is where her journey of yoga began.
Someone recommended Yoga to help with her lower back, she was willing to try anything to help! Fast forward three months, goodbye back pain! Ashleigh couldn’t believe the difference yoga had made to her back! She just couldn’t keep this news all to herself so she decided to further her knowledge and dive into a 200 hour teacher training course at Core Power Yoga Studios in Los Angeles!
Ashleigh brings something special to her classes as being a professional dancer she knows a lot about the movement of the body and how to prevent/recover from injuries!
